How to write a job description people actually read

The opener

Start with what the person will actually do — not a paragraph about your Series B.

The requirements list

Split must-have from nice-to-have. Cut anything you can't defend at debrief. Every extra bullet quietly filters out under-represented candidates.

The comp line

Share a range or say "we share ranges on the first call." Silence hurts your funnel more than a low number.

The close

End with a real next step and a real human's name. Not "Talent Team."
